Speaker Biographies
 | Dr. Anthony M. Palumbo, is a 1995 Summa Cum Laude Graduate and Class Salutatorian from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA. He has enjoyed being in private practice for 17 years in Queens, NY. He has held an active license in good standing in Florida since 2000. His practice experience includes 4 years working in a multi-specialty physical rehabilitation setting and 2 years on staff in the Emergency Department at Parkway Hospital in Forest Hills, NY. An active member in NYSCA, he currently serves as the NYSCA Queens District President, a position held since 2012. He has a sub-specialty in Electrodiagnostic testing and is currently the co-chairman of the NYSCA’s Electrodiagnostic Committee. He has served as a PG Instructor at New York Chiropractic College’s Department of Post Graduate Studies in Levittown, NY since 2008 lecturing on various subjects. He also has over 10 years of experience in pro-treating doctor medico-legal consulting, which includes case management review, review of insurance carrier claim denials, claims defense, and expert witness testimony in claims recovery cases. |
 | Dr. Teresa Hoban is a 1997 graduate of New York Chiropractic College’s Chiropractic program, has an MBA from Wilmington College, and has a very successful practice in Penn Yan, New York. Her goal is to help others enhance learning and develop skills that will take everyone to the next level. Dr. Hoban, Director for the Academy for Professional Success, is a certified Physicians Coach and a certified Co-Active Coach. |
 | Dr. Sandra Hartwell graduated from New York Chiropractic College in April 1996. She has extensive postgraduate education in sports medicine and Active Release Techniques®. She is currently full-time as an assistant professor teaching human gross anatomy courses as well as neuroscience anatomy. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Hartwell also has a private practice. |

Dr. Michael Zumpano is one of a few practicing chiropractors in the WORLD that has first earned a PhD (craniofacial growth and development specialty). He has been teaching human anatomy, neuroscience, and biomechanics since 1992. Currently a full professor at New York Chiropractic College, he has instructed most of the chiropractors in the region. |
 | Dr. Randy Ferrance received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life College in 1987 and practiced chiropractic in Manassas, Va., for several years before earning his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. He then completed a combined residency program in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and served as chief resident of that program. He is licensed in Virginia to practice both chiropractic and medicine, and he is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. He practices as a hospitalist, specializing in inpatient medicine and pediatrics in a community hospital in Virginia's Northern Neck region. In addition, he continues to practice chiropractic. He speaks to medical as well as chiropractic audiences on a variety of chiropractic and medical topics. |
 | Dr. Erqiang Li is a Florida Licensed and National Board Certified Acupuncture Physician (NCCAOM), a senior Professor at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota. Graduated from Heilongjiang Medical University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a M.D. degree in 1980 and a Ph.D. degree in 1990, Dr. Li was a doctor in chief in Heilongjiang Academy of TCM and a Professor until he came to Europe in 1991, where he has held many seminars on TCM and Acupuncture in Swiss, Austria, Sweden, Hungary, Romania and Poland, etc., and he was nicknamed as 'Magic Needle' in Europe. Since 2000, Dr. Erqiang Li has worked at Florida Institute of TCM as the Academic Dean, and worked at East West College of Natural Medicine as the Dean of Clinical Sciences. Specialized in TCM, acupuncture and neurology, and with over 28 years of excellent experience in clinical work and teachings, Dr. Erqiang Li has published dozens of scientific papers and several books on TCM and Acupuncture. His co-authored books 'Acupuncture Techniques and Manipulations' and 'Modern Chinese Acupuncture' has been used as textbooks in many medical schools in China and abroad. |
 | Dr. Heather Heck received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree with honors from New York Chiropractic College and also holds a Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition and Public Health. Dr. Heck is passionate about educating the public about chiropractic, nutrition, and holistic health. |
 | Dr. David Graber is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician as well as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Licensed in both New York and New Jersey, he has been in private practice in New Jersey since 1987. He earned an associate degree in biology from Nassau Community College in 1982; holds a number of certifications, including hospital protocol and manipulation under anesthesia; and is a registered practitioner in biocranial therapy. Postgraduate studies include radiology, nutrition, TMJ dysfunction, stress management, kinesiology, and rehabilitation, among others. A former instructor of orthopedic diagnosis and chiropractic technique at NYCC, Graber has also been an instructor for the Sports Chiropractic Physician Diplomate Program Review. A large portion of his case load is devoted to sports and accident injuries and family practice. |
 | Dr. Lisa K. Bloom is a Professor in the Clinical Sciences/Diagnosis Department at New York Chiropractic College and a Fellow of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology. Dr. Bloom is currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education Leadership and holds a Diplomate and board certification from the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology and a Diplomate in Applied Chiropractic Sciences. Dr. Bloom has been the featured speaker at conferences in 45 states in the US, as well as an invited speaker to many international conferences. A multiple winner of the Faculty Excellence Award, Dr. Bloom serves as a board member of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology and has served on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners test writing committee. Dr. Bloom is the creator of the YouTube NeuroDocUniverse channel which is utilized worldwide and is focused on improving clinical mastery in neurological examination and diagnosis. |
 | Ms. Anna Allen, NCMIC professional relations representative, received her BSN in nursing from Grandview College and her master’s degree in Nursing Education and Administration from Drake University. Prior to joining NCMIC, Ms. Allen was a medical fraud analyst supervisor for Unisys Corporation, head nurse/outreach coordinator/educator at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, and emergency department R.N. Her specialties included care of the psychiatric and emergency room patient. She has conceived, planned and presented workshops nationally on health care fraud and care of chronically ill patients and given hundreds of other presentations throughout the U.S. Ms. Allen is an adjunct professor for postgraduate education at National University of Health Sciences, and an adjunct assistant professor to the postgraduate and continuing education faculty of the New York Chiropractic College. |
 | Dr. Dennis Homack, an Associate Professor at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, has been teaching within the Departments of Diagnosis & Practice and Technique for over 15 years. Dr. Homack also has taught both electives and post-graduate seminars on Tunnel Entrapment Syndromes, Ergonomics & Human Factors and Gait Analysis. He also serves the community providing evaluation and training to a number of regional businesses on several topics, most of which involve his interest in ergonomics. He has presented a number of papers at various professional conferences across the United States, and has been published internationally in peer reviewed journals. The educational background of Dr. Homack includes an Associate in Science degree in Computer Science from Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Stockton State College in Pomona, New Jersey. He is a 1997 graduate of New York Chiropractic College, and has completed his Master in Science degree in Human-Environmental Relations (Ergonomics) at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York (2003). He also is a Chiropractic Sports Physician/Practitioner certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (CCSP). |
