A student's signature is needed to release a transcript, therefore, requests cannot be taken over the telephone or over the Internet. The policy is strictly enforced to protect the privacy of students. Requests for transcripts can be made in person at the Registrar's Office, by written request, or by fax, provided the request bears the signature of the student. There is no fee for transcripts.
Official transcripts are mailed directly to an authorized agency such as a state board, educational institution, professional society or organizations, but are not issued to students. Unofficial transcripts are issued directly to students. An unofficial transcript is stamped "Unofficial Transcript" and does not bear NYCC's seal.
All requests for transcripts should include the following information:
Name while attending the College
Current name, if different
Last Four Digits of your Social Security Number
Address where transcripts should be mailed
